Tocumen International Airport (PTY) also known as “the hub of the Americas” has great connections to North and South America. Direct flights from Europe are relatively cheap. For example, there are direct flights from Madrid, Paris, Istanbul or Amsterdam.
Once you are in Panama City it is about a 1.5h ride by car to make the 100km.
Firstly, leave the city via Puente de las Americas and follow the Panamerican Highway about 70km. Thereafter, turn left and head onto the peninsula. Punta Chame is at the very point after another 25km.
After all, having a rental car will help you to get around in Punta Chame easier. Nevertheless, we also offer bicycle rentals if you prefer pedals.
If you’re on a budget, you can still take buses to get to Punta Chame. Firstly, from the airport, take a bus, the metro or an uber to Albrook Mall bus terminal. Secondly, from there take a bus going to Coronado and get off in Chame/Bejuco at Plaza Imperial. Lastly, from there you will have to take a micro bus into Punta Chame. Overall 4-5h and $10.
